Posted January 19, 2015. If it's facelift with easy fuel they leave the little latch retainer on the flap but where the locking mechanism should be there's a blank. I think it anti siphon and you can't put anything in there without the Ford filler pipe. It puzzled me at first, however, it's still more secure than a plastic lock really.

I can only lock the drivers door with the key and the rest won't lock at all apart from the boot which only unlocks when i press the dedicated button on the key fob. James Atkin. I have a C-Max 2008 that has developed a frustrating problem. Every now and then (and it is getting more frequent) when I try to start the car, the key turns just fine to the 3rd position and everything powers correctly, but it will not turn to the last stop to engage the starter motor. Spraying it in where though. The lock is working fine..it would seem that the central locking doesn't work on that door. I can manual operate the lock, but depressing the button doesn't move the locking mech at all. I was assuming it was more of a motor problem.

CHECK what programme the central locking was re-programmed too,as the c-max(dont know about other ford models) has 2 settings,which I didnt know,and dont think a lot of ford owners(and some mechanics) are aware of,but it is in the hand book!! 1 click used to deactivate everything, open all the doors and boot! but now only opens the boot and Central locking broke on ford focus c max 2004.
